We love... Jessica Alba

It's been a long time since we did a style icon, but here's American actress Jessica Alba. She's a fashionable mommy and a great trendsetter. Jessica also has a great sense of humor. "I like Spongebob Squarepants, he's goofy like me", she once said in an interview. Guess everyone knows this pretty lady: she was repeatedly named as one of the hottest women on earth. Alba is a diverse person, but we like her best as a style icon.

Beautiful Barcelona

 

A week ago I went to Barcelona. If you've never been there, just go.. now! This city is so amazing! It's not only a cultural, commercial and mediterranean capital, but lets not forget, it's also a major fashion capital! 

Another big plus, popular retail shops like Zara, Bershka, Mango, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius,.. are all Spanish, which means they're almost 30% cheaper than in Belgium! 

Beauty: Kiko "raspberry" nail polish

"Kiko makeup Milano" is an Italian professional cosmetics brand that features a range of makeup, face and body products for a very reasonable price.

"Be What You Want to Be." is its vision of Beauty. Through its extraordinarily wide and diversified range of products, KIKO allows everyone to express their own personality with custom-made products. I like this concept very much! When I was in Barcelona I bought this raspberry colour and a fuchsia one. The prodycts don't have actual names, but I think this colour comes close to a raspberry colour. I regret I didn't buy more, they're fabulous..

It's time sun comes out, because we're almost out of clothes for fall. We're in desperate need of sunshine and we hopelessly want to show you our new summer clothes. Guess we'll have to wait. Nevertheless, enjoy the outfit of the day.

Beauty : Spring Street

A few days ago I tried out Lavender Cupcake from NYC which was a longlasting nailpolish. This nail polish is called Spring Street and it has a quickdry formula. This bright orange nail polish reminds me more of summer than spring, or is it just me? But either way I'm loving this color!

I went to the Press Days of the pr-agency Listen Up a week ago with Julie from strutterview.com and some good friends. We had an amazing time and I wanted to share some pictures with all of you. There was a really nice vibe and most collections that were presented were amazing. Some pieces would fit perfectly in my closet ;) 

I adored the collections of Supertrash and Eleven Paris, but especially Ted Baker's. Their new clothing collection and purses were so lovely. Too bad I had no time to visit some more press days because I had such a good time!

Beauty : Lavender Cupcake

I've recently been trying out some different nail polish brands and I'm pleasantly surprised of the quality of some low budget nail polishes! I tested this one from NYC and I love it. The colour is called Lavender Cupcake (what a delicious name) and it's supposed to hold for 7 days. I've just been wearing it for three days now but it has hardly chipped. I've also bought a bright orange one (Spring street), which I will be testing in a few days.

Lifestyle: welcome to my home

Since my brother and my soon-to-be sister-in-law own an apartment just five minutes away from my internship, I'm currently living here in Antwerp. Much better than the hour drive to my home. And I'm so happy to be staying here, their home is so inspirational. Plus, their two cats Filou and Basil are great company. 

So...welcome to my new place.

Hair trend : Ombre

You've probably noticed this special hairstyle becoming more and more popular. We saw some celebrities and bloggers starting the trend last year but now it's becoming more mainstream. You can easily try this yourself with an at-home coloring kit. On youtube you can find several very good DIY's. 

Some bloggers and celebs made this trend even extremer by dyeing the bottom of their hair in a pastel or bright color (like the picture of Jamie King with a blue ombre above). The pink ombre is also becoming very popular. Personally I like the ombre hair of Drew Barrymore and Lauren Conrad the most. What do you think of the ombre hair trend?
